I'll be at the Assembly Rooms, George Street, Edinburgh this weekend. It's my first craft fair with 3D2D . I've just recently been accepted as an exhibitor with them which I'm really excited about.
I'll be taking along my Christmas cards and decorations as well as my usual cards, framed and unframed textile pictures and flower brooches.
This will be my last craft fair this year. I'm not sure what I'll be up to next year but I'll post details as soon as I know.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :o)x

Kelso 3th & 31st October
I'm off to Kelso to a two day Christmas craft fair. My first two day event!
I've been busy making Christmas things. I've ended up with loads of cards...maybe should have made more Christmas ornaments. Oh well!

Looking forward to the fair it should be a good laugh...I hope!
I'll be at the Morningside Makers market next Saturday the 6th November with whatever is left from this weekend or a whole load of new stuff .... if I sell out! Unlikely but I live in hope!!!
Bye for now,
Moira
PS Forgot to mention that the Kelso craft fair is at the Borders Union, Springwood Hall and is supporting Help the Heroes. 30/10 & 31/10 10am to 6pm each day. Come and support a good cause if you can.

flower brooches...
A new batch of flower brooches. Some of these are off to Gracefield Art Centre in Dumfries.I decided to work different centres this time, just for a change. I liked the result so hope that they go down well.
These are a couple of unframed pieces which I'll take to Muchty Mercat this Saturday. If they don't sell I'll take them with me to the next Morningside Makers Market on Saturday 2nd October.

New unframed textile panels...
Sorry about the washed out look of the first two pieces, I took the photo at night with the flash on. I really should know by now. Never mind I'm sure that you get the idea of what they are about.
This one is a new design. I'm liking it a lot so will be making more along the same lines.
I never make two the same, they can be fairly similar but never exactly the same. I put these photos on Flickr last night and was asked the size of this one. It is 7 1/2" x 4". The other ones are both 5 3/4" x 4".
Not sure where thay will end up as I have put in for a stall at the "Muchty Mercat" in Auchtermuchty on Saturday 25th September ( 10am - 1pm). I may take them with me or as I hope to have my Etsy shop open soon I may keep them for that. With new photos of course!
Watch this space!!!!!

Pittenweem...
At the Pittenweem Arts Festival just now. It started on Friday evening and runs until this Sunday, 15th Aug. It's always great fun but exhausting all the same. I had hoped to have some images of the work I had framed for the event but forgot to do it before they went to the framer.
A little unframed seashore piece which I only just remembered to take a photo of. It was dark by that time and had to have the flash on. It's not really looking its best.
I've recently come back from holiday where I'd been doing a heap of beachcombing. I decided to do a few driftwood hangings along with a few machine embroidered fish hangings with some of the pieces I'd collected...just for a change. I'll take a few pictures of them, once I get the camera batteries charged!
This is one of the beachcombing beaches on the west coast of Scotland. I found some lovely sea glass and coloured china there.
Back to Pittenweem ...if you're in the area why not drop in and see some of my work first hand.
I'm at Funky Scottish, 41 High Street. Venue 13.
Open 10am to 5pm
Bye for now.

flower brooches....
Some new flower brooches. I've made these flowers smaller than the original ones. Just for a change!
These ones have eight petals instead of twelve.
This is a group photo of the smaller flower brooches with the larger flower brooches.
I'll have them with me for sale at the next Morningside Makers Market, Edinburgh which is on Saturday 3rd July 2010 from 10.30am - 4pm.

craft fair St.Andrews - 8th May 2010
Hi there!
Another dash to get this post done to let you all know that I'll be at the St.Andrews craft fair in the Town Hall tomorrow 8th May. It runs from 10am to 4pm.
These images are a some close up views from my latest seashore pieces. I'll have them with me tomorrow.
I love seeing them in close up as they are really quite small.
I'm hoping to do a lot more in this series. I'll show more of these images later.
Drop in and say "hi" if you're in the area.
Bye for now.

seashore panels...
these are a few of the most recent unframed seashore pieces that I've made. I thought that I should show some as another craft fair is looming. Morningside Makers Market again on Saturday 3rd April. Not sure how busy it will be as it is the Easter weekend. I don't really mind as I enjoy going to the craft fair. It's always nice to hear what people think about my work. I will also be at Funky Scottish, 41 High Street, Pittenweem, Fife on Sunday 4th April as there is an artists weekend going on and we are open from Thursday through to Monday from 11am until 5pm.I do enjoy working different colours of flowers on these seashore panels but the red poppies are always a huge hit especially when you can see so many of them on grass verges around the East Neuk. Not, of course, at this time of the year.
I should have stitched one with daffodils! Have a good Easter.

Saturday 6th March 2010...
getting some work ready for the next Morningside Makers Market in Edinburgh. I have a new unframed piece
these are a few few images of it.
These are some of the little Easter rabbit cards that I've been working on to take along to the craft fair. I should have been concentrating on Mothers' day but I thought I'd better do something for Easter because it's early this year. My flower brooches will be ok for "M" day so that's not so bad at least I have something that fits the occassion!.
Back soon,
Moira.

flower brooches...
a few images of my latest flower brooches. I've been making them for a while now and am amazed that they're still popular. They're free machine embroidered and beaded.
I was thinking about using my little textile squares in a different way and decided to try them in a threesome. I'm quite pleased with how they look. I've made up a couple as unframed pieces for now. I was just trying them out in a frame when I took the picture.
This piece is a detail from another unframed textile panel. I'll show more pieces like this when I get things organised.
I have been playing about adding my name to these photos as you can see. I don't know if it's worth it or if I'll be able to change them once I've published this post so you may see more next time or not!
That's it for now. back soon!
