Nearly there!

Some of the pieces that I will have with me at Ladybank. The collaged birds are unframed pieces and the I pod covers are made with my own hand printed & hand dyed fabrics.

If you're in the Fife area come and visit, you can have a trip across to Falkland, or further along the road to Cupar then St. Andrews. Places to visit, things to see, places to eat in, it would make for a great day out, just remember to pop in to me and say "hi" on your way!

Off the Rails Arthouse, just outside the station in Ladybank.

Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th April 10am to 5pm.
Thursday 16th & Friday 17th April 12noon to 5pm.

Brooches

A few leaf shaped brooches that I've been working on. They are my usual layering of fabric, yarns and free machine (motion) embroidery. I've added a random selection of beads, seed and bugle.
The fabric piece that I'd made was fairly small and I can cut approx. six brooches from it. I suppose you could say that they were a limited edition although each one is unique because of the variety in the beading.
I intend making more of these brooches in different colourways but still keeping to small numbers. I've made one set with a turquoise edge but haven't photographed them yet as they're not beaded
I'll post some more photos soon.
Bye for now,
:o)

flower brooches....

Some new flower brooches. I've made these flowers smaller than the original ones. Just for a change!
These ones have eight petals instead of twelve.
This is a group photo of the smaller flower brooches with the larger flower brooches.
I'll have them with me for sale at the next Morningside Makers Market, Edinburgh which is on Saturday 3rd July 2010 from 10.30am - 4pm.

HELLO & WELCOME !

Welcome to my new blog!
A new year a new decade a new me!!!

I've decided to move things along a bit and attend craft fairs and have an etsy shop.

I attended my first craft fair on Saturday which was great fun. It was the Morningside Makers Market which will be held on the first Saturday of every month.
Here is a picture of my stall first thing in the morning.

I took along some framed and unframed textile pieces as well as some cards, brooches and bags.
These are the kind of things I intend having in my etsy shop which I hope to open soon.
You can see another picture of my stall on the Morningside Makers blog.
Back soon,
Moira
