11th &12th December 2010

I'll be at the Assembly Rooms, George Street, Edinburgh this weekend. It's my first craft fair with 3D2D . I've just recently been accepted as an exhibitor with them which I'm really excited about.
I'll be taking along my Christmas cards and decorations as well as my usual cards, framed and unframed textile pictures and flower brooches.
This will be my last craft fair this year. I'm not sure what I'll be up to next year but I'll post details as soon as I know.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :o)x

Kelso 3th & 31st October

I'm off to Kelso to a two day Christmas craft fair. My first two day event!
I've been busy making Christmas things. I've ended up with loads of cards...maybe should have made more Christmas ornaments. Oh well!

I'll have my usual selection with me as well. The framed and unframed pictures along with my flower brooches and my everyday cards. I've also got some new decorated cotton totes with a flower design on them...forgot to take a picture!
Looking forward to the fair it should be a good laugh...I hope!
I'll be at the Morningside Makers market next Saturday the 6th November with whatever is left from this weekend or a whole load of new stuff .... if I sell out!  Unlikely but I live in hope!!!
Bye for now,
Moira
PS Forgot to mention that the Kelso craft fair is at the Borders Union, Springwood Hall and is supporting Help the Heroes. 30/10 & 31/10  10am to 6pm each day. Come and support a good cause if you can.

flower brooches...

A new batch of flower brooches. Some of these are off to Gracefield Art Centre in Dumfries.I decided to work different centres this time, just for a change. I liked the result so hope that they go down well.
These are a couple of unframed pieces which I'll take to Muchty Mercat this Saturday. If they don't sell I'll take them with me to the next Morningside Makers Market on Saturday 2nd October.

New unframed textile panels...

Sorry about the washed out look of the first two pieces, I took the photo at night with the flash on. I really should know by now. Never mind I'm sure that you get the idea of what they are about.

This one is a new design. I'm liking it a lot so will be making more along the same lines.
I never make two the same, they can be fairly similar but never exactly the same. I put these photos on Flickr last night and was asked the size of this one. It is 7 1/2" x 4". The other ones are both 5 3/4" x 4".
Not sure where thay will end up as I have put in for a stall at the "Muchty Mercat" in Auchtermuchty on Saturday 25th September ( 10am - 1pm). I may take them with me or as I hope to have my Etsy shop open soon I may keep them for that. With new photos of course!
Watch this space!!!!!
Byee.

Pittenweem...

At the Pittenweem Arts Festival just now. It started on Friday evening and runs until this Sunday, 15th Aug. It's always great fun but exhausting all the same. I had hoped to have some images of the work I had framed for the event but forgot to do it before they went to the framer.
A little unframed seashore piece which I only just remembered to take a photo of. It was dark by that time and  had to have the flash on. It's not really looking its best.
I've recently come back from holiday where I'd been doing a heap of beachcombing. I decided to do a few driftwood hangings along with a few machine embroidered fish hangings with some of the pieces I'd collected...just for a change. I'll take a few pictures of them, once I get the camera batteries charged!

This is one of the beachcombing beaches on the west coast of Scotland. I found some lovely sea glass and coloured china there.
Back to Pittenweem ...if you're in the area why not drop in and see some of my work first hand.
I'm at Funky Scottish, 41 High Street. Venue 13.
Open 10am to 5pm
Bye for now.
